FYI:
Robben is scheduled to play on Thursday, 01/31, at the finest music venue in San Diego..........Anthology Jazz & Supper Club. My wife and I went there about 3 months ago to see a great jazz vocalist, Tierney Sutton, and the venue is absolutely fantastic. No money was spared in the design, audio & video equipment, food, etc. The owner of Taylor Guitar Co., Bob Taylor, has a financial interest in the place.
Here's a link to the Anthology website, if you're interested:
When you access the Anthology performance calendar, check out the list of people who will be playing there in the next couple of months..........top-notch, for sure. In the past few months........Chick Corea, James Cotton, Al DiMeola, Spyro Gyra, Yellowjackets, etc.
I'm also a fan of John Scofield and sent him a message about Anthology..............he responded and said he was turning the info over to his booking agent.
I ordered my tickets today......Upper Level Reserved.

Thanks SF! That place looks pretty nice and got me thinking about a road trip. But I thought I might check out the local digs first and sure enough, found Robben playing at SoHo in Santa Barbara on 1/30/08.
Got my tickets.
Thank you for the heads up!!!
BTW- neither of these are on RF's website yet, and I suspect there are more California shows.

If you live near or have plans to be in San Diego at the end of January, I have an additional ticket available for Robben's performance on Jan. 31.........$33.00 plus a 2-drink minimum at Anthology. If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll provide the details concerning the Upper Level Reserved seats.

Adrian,
Anthology looks fabulous! The website's not too shabby either. I checked out some of the galleries of past performances. If I am ever back down in San Diego, I will for sure try to get to Anthology.
