Hi Guys,

I seem to recall there's quite a few on this forum who bought this guitar and are very pleased with it.

I'm certainly one of them, but I'd like to up-grade bridge and tail piece, with a Tone Pros set.

The tail piece seems pretty standard, but the bridge is what causing me headaches. From the guitar specs it's called "adjusto-matic". Is this a standard Tune o Matic bridge? The posts look very small. Has anyone got the measuraments? Is the bridge stud diameter 4mm?

Has anybody on the forum done this job on the guitar? Which set/make did you use?

Sorry, guys I'm not very technical.

Many thanks for any input you'll be able to provide.

the metric TOM from Stew Mac fit perfectly on mine. Nothing fancy(not necessary), but at least the screws in the saddles didn't strip out the threads in the saddle like the OEM did.

I've kept the original bridge and tailpiece on mine, but do a search here and you should find more info.

Same with me . Actually 6 months ago a buddy made me adjustments: neck & bridge . Everything is fine.

The only thing I've changed on mine is the pickups. I went with an SD 59 in the neck position and an SD JB at the bridge. It really did not change the sound of the guitar very much. It may be a little brighter, but not much. I saw where some people were complaining about the bridge being loose and rattling, but mine is rock solid.

I put a JB @ the bridge also, and a DiMarzio PAF Joe @ the neck. I think it changed the tone pretty dramatically, the OEM pups were pretty lackluster, IMO.

I also changed all the 'satin' hardware(incl tuners) to nickel, too. Much classier.

thank you to all your contributions. I'm having second thoughts now about Tone Pros bridge.
I'm still determined to change stock bridge & tailpiece though. I think I'll probably go for Schaller TOM, seems to fit better, without necessary adjustments.

Btw, I also changed pups to SD JB bridge and SD Jazz neck ,and it has made a dramatic difference in the tone, much brighter for those fast runs (I wish !)

TonePros bridge made a world of difference in tone and sustain. I recommend the change.

This guitar was the hot topic on this forum a while ago, and the price was definitly good, I considered buying one, but alas my highly honed skill of procrastination led me astray...........where are these guitars , I found nothing on E bay or musicians friend or sam ashe or guitar center...any ideas. thanks.

Check the Mom&Pop stores, if there are any. There is a black one that's been hanging in my local M&P, for around 3 years.
It is the one I road tested, then I bought a sunburst one off ebay for $200US.

With a complete hardware, pickup and electrical upgrade, plus a fret leveling, it has turned out to be a great, powerful guitar. Cool

I looked at several of these but went for the Tokai Love Rock 2 (double cut model) in the end for my RF style fix - has anyone else tried these, they are great guitars, two humbuckers with coil taps, great build quality (Japan) with the only downside being they are not chambered (or weight relieved) so are quite heavy. Typical LP construction, mahogany with two piece flamed maple cap. They are becoming rare in the UK - I grabbed two, the first from a store and the last one I saw on Ebay.
