So Pierre, is that 50-grand once, or 50-grand twice?!!!
And, Mr. Bluenote, do you still have anymore of those "Robben Tone in-a-can" products left? |

I was watching the video again this morning, specifically "The Way You Treated Me', and saw two very cool things. Normally, I don't dissect Robben's music, but this was too good to pass up. Check out the syncopated rhythm chops at 14:40......six chords that just stop you in your tracks! And, for those of you who are familiar with the music of Miles Davis, check out how Robben inserts the melody notes from "Jean-Pierre" beginning at 18:05..........very, very cool! The more I watch and listen to Robben's playing, the more I appreciate what an accomplished musician he is. Hands down, the finest guitarist I've ever heard..........chops, rhythm, artistry, feel, tone..............he has it all. And, he's not limited to any one style. Though I like other players, Robben is at the top of the heap! |

Actually, when you listen to Robben's live recordings, you'll notice that he plays Jean-Pierre's melody at least one during the concert, like a nod to his mentor. |

I watched Part 1 this morning and I am WOWED. The new songs from "Truth" are performed with such finesse. Every song, every note, every frame, just perfect. Robben's guitar, voice, the band, everyone sounds great, looks great. Wow, you know what I mean !?!? _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

WOWED +1 here. Incredible stuff. Great songs, great playing from everyone involved, and a great job on vocals from Robben. I don't know that I've ever heard Robben sound better.
This set should be released on a commercial DVD ASAP. Everyone here would buy two copies--one for themselves and one to give to a friend. |

Outstanding!!!!
I really, really like Toss Panos and I think he sounds great with Travis. Toss has that touch and finesse that reminds me of Tom Breichtline.
I still don't understand why this kind of stuff isn't put on DVD as soon as possible because people would eat it up and it would get Robben's name out there even more.
BTW, if it ever comes out commercially, I'll still buy it in a heartbeat even though I have these downloads. Can't wait to see part three! _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford |

At first, I thought Toss Panos was Tom Breichtline. What's Toss's musical bio? |

Check his bio on his website: http://www.tosspanos.com/
I'd love to hear him live sometime. _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford |

Hey guys, glad you like the first 2 parts
I just got back from the weekend in Switzerland and am uploading part 3 now! The link will be: http://www.sharebig.com/d/sutuqqxzu/0UCjN4N47D42A3D0A/RobbenFord_Rockpalast2007_Pt3.avi.htm
but it will take some time...
And yeah, it's really an awesome performance of the whole band, great players, fantastic songs and also nice lighting, cameras and everything else! And, of course, there is Robben!
EDIT: oh, just realized that Pt.3 also contains some Snowy White performance from the same festival, but that can't hurt I guess ;)
EDIT2: OK, part 3 is ready for download! |

Heck no! In fact, I'd love to have Snowy's whole performance too! (Is that possible?) That 17 or so minutes in Pt 3 was fantastic!
I've never heard of Snowy White until now, and I feel like I've missed another legend. I've done some research, and his music bio floored me! This guy's been around. What really impresses me is his Pink Floyd connections. Regarding his music, in the words of Will Smith sitting in the cockpit of the alien ship in the movie Independence Day- "I gotta get me one of these!", like- I gotta get me some Snowy White cd's!
BTW, just some trivia- Snowy White is the guitarist currently touring with Roger Waters. |

I haven't recorded the Snow White segment, but I have a way to get it anyway, so I'll have a look.
I remember seeing him with Thin Lizzy, back in 1981...great concert by the way. |
