Hey, a dear friend turned me on this :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48uO17nu1Ng

Beyond the facts she is cute, she knows the song & her fingerings are quite intresting, and she knows the tune by hearth, she owns what seems to be a LesPaul , a very good guitar ..... Ok beyond all these factzs how can she gets so close to Robben's toneor the infamous Georgorgeous
Dumble's zound.
May be tht's a spoof.
Evil or Very Mad
So where is tone?????????????????

I think her sound and playing are both very nice. Personally, I think she gets a nice sound but I don't think she nails the feel. Nice effort, however.

To answer your question on the Dumble sound, it clearly must be coming from the polka dot bedspread, LOL!

I wish I could play almost as half as good...

I wonder where she got the backing track?

Tag is gonna have a heart attack Smile
Anyway, I like her playing and tone, but that feels rather mechanical to me.
I have seen some other videos by an asian girl (maybe the same one ?) who was playing perfectly a Larry Carlton tune, and I had the same feeling, that it was fully rehearsed like with a classical piece, but without real feeling.
My opinion of course, otherwise a very nice performance.

I agree with you about the "feeling" bit. She looks like she's playing her dad want her to! Very Happy

In any case, the tone is there and she gets it without biting her lower lip ("feeling").

Tag has been suspended on the TGP, maybe we should post it anyway?

Ok i hear you gentlemen, but do you hear me too .
For me she nails the story . that's not the point . Just listen
to my take "elchamp" in my soundclick link. I dont wanna show off butit's obvious she needs to burn stage with a band. Then how can she get that sweet tone. I am really puzzled. SHE IS GREAT . Come on girl put a band up... Wink
