Robben Ford Discussion

There are strong reports that Robben will be in Australia for the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in Bryon Bay NSW over Easter 2004. He's not offically listed in the first round of artists but one can only hope.

He was last here in 1999 for this Festival - he also played shows in Sydney and Melbourne. It was a great show in Melbourne at the Esplanade Hotel.
Five years is a long time between drinks.

Hi - Daved posted a reply to one of my postings about this a few weeks ago. Said they were seriously looking at doing the Byron festival plus a few other shows (which I assumes means Sydney and Melbourne).

And yeah - it's a long time between drinks! The Espy show was a good one and I've still got great memories of the gig some years before at the Continental (lest we forget). I think there's only been one other tour in between which I missed Crying or Very sad

, so I'll try not to miss this one!

I can still recall dissapointment on missing the Continental and Espy gigs (interstate), did catch Robben though at the Collingwood Town Hall (circa 1993/4?) so for me has been a very long gap. Can still remember the night, quite cold but one great concert.
Often play the excellent Ohne FIlter - RF and Blue line in concert DVD as a reminder.
This would be bloody fantastic if he comes out again. Hope this news comes true?
