I've been listening to a live stream from MerleFest this morning. The festival goes through Sunday. Lots of Blues and Old Time music. You can listen for free at: www.radiofreemerlefest.org.

The broadcast schedule is posted here: http://www.mvyradio.com/images/Radio_Free_MerleFest_schedule_2008-mvyradio.pdf

Listen to this awesome recreation of the Led Zeppelin II album -- in its entirety -- from MerleFest, featuring The Waybacks and John Cowan (on lead vocals), plus Jeff Autry, Shed Cobb, Pete Wernick, Tom Rozum, Betsy Ellis, Byron House, Phil Wade. John Cowan's vocals are amazing ! Did Led Zeppelin ever perform this whole album live?

Was John the bassplayer and lead singer with Newgrass Revival? That name sounds so familiar.

Frank, I didn't see the show, but I believe that's the same person.

I looked him up and it is the same person. I know he had a fantastic voice back then.
