I remember Robben saying something that made me think Larry loaned him the guitar rather than gave it to him. Am I imagining that? _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford |

Hopefully...that guitar was absolutely gorgeous (coming from a vintage gear junkie...) and it sang like you wouldn't believe. _________________ "Music is the only thing that you can share with a million million people and you don't lose, you gain. IIRC Robben says on the new DVD that he gave it back to Larry. He discusses the lack of a coil tap (obviously) on that guitar. |

IIRC = If I Remember Correctly
I was thinking of the Art of Blues Rhythm DVD and I obviously DON'T remember correctly because he plays Larry's LP on it! I'm sure he refers to it as Larry's though and to the lack of coil taps |

Thanks. I'll add that to my vocab.

I figured you meant that DVD but I don't recall him saying anything in that one and, you're right, he's using the LP in it. _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford |

Look, if Robben doesn't want the 57 LP, I'll be happy to give it a nice home. (By the way, there's a nice photo on Travis Carlton's MySpace page with Robben and Larry both holding the LP GT and grinning like two 9-year-old boys who'd just landed a 7-pound trout.) _________________ - BlueRunner |

I know he refers to the lack of coil taps, but I don't think he mentions that it's Larry's. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/Richeray |
