So my favorite is the one i play the most actually : Squier Esprit.
But one of my fav one (stolen) is my first strato : one of the very first Squier : the black with mapple neck , i started to work on pick ups configurations and switchings with an english book, so i ended up with two sets : originel one with capacitors on tone pots in order to keep the highs when rolling of Volume- one with humbuckers in 1st and Third , single coil in the middle, : phase ,out of phase and tape coiling with mini swithches , the neck fitted me perfectly, i regret that one .
But my super favorite which i sold ( yes i am a huge moron ) is my first "real guitar" which i bought with my very first money is this 1972 'i presume) brown SG custom with a bigsby ,now i realize that i miss her , old exotic wood, lightweight, well balanced , a neck tailored for me, a great sound ,all the wood going in vibration up in yoiur chest .
The good thing is i sold her to an ex student and around now and then i can meet her (that's why i know what i miss now) Although i've played some PRS(wow), Vigier (bof),gretsch (yummy yummy) ,a ton of strato (i do have a good one), ibanez & yamaha (yo man), Charvel (overated , but i am a fshion victim anyway), Heritage (Craftmanship not dead, i love my little Les Paul design), LAG ' an other french Cie , i was lended a custom shop model meeting the middle 80's standards : breeding a tele and strat with EMG pickups and a FloyRose , Ultra "shaved" neck , grat woods,MMMMMMMMM), i really felt in love with The télécaster of an old hippie i know since a longtime. One of the same look of robben's one.
It's a second hand , i know the first owner he told he bought this one in NICE in 1973 , brand new.
I Will love to play a BAKER, and the kind of Strat Landeau plays with.
I ' ve been lucky to play one of the first DEAN but at that time i was just a rookie so i didn't realize really what was in my hands , though i was enough experienced to be sure i was not a flying V guy.
I played 2 excellent black beauty but way too loud. _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm?bandID=147748
LP Studio with Burstbucker pros - great rock guitar, excellent neck.
PRS SE singlecut with soapbars - favourite guitar, wide fat neck, plays like a dream, sounds fantastic. Shitty volume pot
Epiphone '56 Goldtop LP - P90s, crap fretwork, dodgy paint job but still a nice guitar for slide and open tunings - looks lovely too!
Martin D15 all mahogany - wafer thin and delicate as hell but set up like an electric and lovely to play. Watch out Monte Montgomery!
Looking around for a classic player Strat and a friend is selling a Powerhouse Mexican Strat (ever seen one of those?) which is sorely tempting........or maybe one of the new Fret King Esprits which looks like a Firebird that didn't quite make it through Mt Spock's matter transmitter device.........
We can do a whole other thread about pedals............drool........

What is your favorite looking guitar?
Has to be a Strat - the one I used to draw on school exercise books all the time...
- What is your favorite sounding guitar?
Close between Strat with CS69 pickups (original Classic Player 60's 2006/7 model) or my Les Paul with 57 Classics (low powered pickups are the real deal).
- What is your favorite playing guitar?
Choice of two - 60's Classic Player as above, 3 tone sunburst, first production run setup really well or a great SG Standard I've had for a whole.
- What is your favorite guitar overall (if you only had to have one)?
A Tokai Love Rock 2 (double cut mahogany, two piece maple top, mahogany set neck with 2 humbuckers w/coil taps, managed to get two of these over the years, made in Japan with superb Gibson style build and my own "Robben" style guitar). I wasn't tempted by the Squier Esprits and felt the Tokai was much better (only issue is the weight, it's not chambered)
