Shocked In eight years of surfing the web i've never seen an american starting an answer with Ah ah ah (which is typically an european euphemism for LoL Neutral ) and a supposed to be high school acnea diplomated??? i must say i am puzzled ! May be u are Robben hided under an A.K.A in this case pardon me master i am only a little insect.

Then if u're not in this case it means i am as paranoid as some are please to tell in neck , heck, wreck, of the woods , but don't be so eager to bump on Jean Constant thread 'cause he have to go back in his room and practicze harmonisation of the melodic minor scale.

we can get Rainmkr to print a phrase book......

I like the threads that go off on a tangent, they're more interesting and they always end up sorting out the issues and have at least one crazy post from Blobby. All is well on the RF forum.........

Yesterday at the show in Vallejo......We arrived early. It was a free show except for a requested donation of 10 bucks to cover production cost. The best 10 bucks I ever spent!!!

The venue didn't allow for a private entry and I saw Robben come walking in to join Daved and the band on stage for a sound check. An added bonus on the evening.

Anyway they were serving grilled food and I was waiting for my sumptuous repast(sorry it was pretty bad) and Robben came walking up looking for something to eat. On his approach a woman asked him if she could have her picture taken with him. I saw him hesitate and then agree. After that he made his way back for some food and some guy had the same request which Robben declined.

During the show there was a guy who approached the stage with his papparatzi lens and started taking photos. Mind you there were people dancing right in front of the stage. There were no announcements about not taking pictures so I suppose the guy was within his rights but Robben mid song looked at him and did an obvious get out of here with his hand. Later in the show the same guy came up and started taking pictures again and the same response from Robben. At that point I think people dancing had some words for the guy and he dissapeared.

Next to me there was a guy who had a camcorder in hand and the only time he put it down was in between songs. I guess to save batteries. Why go to a show and watch Robben through a camera lens?!!!

Anyway his loss it was a great show

I contemplated bringing a camera or camcorder with me. I'm glad I didn't.
I would never even consider it again I have Robbens DVDs why be distracted with all that crap?

I do have one idea though..........

One of those lifesize cardboard cutouts with Robben on it and folks could take pictures to their hearts content.

You can't take a picture of Robben's sound. I was at the Manchester UK gig a few weeks ago and there were minimal 'paperazzi' present but mostly it was people who had come to listen and in some cases, learn.

I think if you're taking longer range shots from the back of a large or open air venue, that is more acceptable and less intrussive. Otherwise, if you want pictures, there are lots on the internet.

If I'd taken a camera to the gig, I would never have raised it once - I was far too busy being blown away by Robben's playing and his voice and swapping grins with members of the audience.

EXACTLY, Milli, thank you very much.

That's what I always tell people, if you came to the show to take pictures rather than enjoy the music/performance... go to the back of the room and be subtle instead of standing right in front of Robben and deliberatly iritating him and the folks who came to be entertained and actualy enjoy themselves.

Most cameras these days work well in low light without flash and have enough of a telephoto capability to move in close from across a room.
There really is no need to stand in front of Robben shoving a camera in his face, or for flash, or to take more than one or two photos before putting your camera away.

I posted this in a thread last year...

I have the solution to the camera problem!

In-between songs, Robben should throw some 70's clothing catalogue poses with added tough chords for us to work-out in close-up! It's a winner!

He probably was going to ask you if you were the guy who sat in his Living Room last year for the guitar clinic and spilled clam dip all over his new Oriental Rug.
