Great pictures, Marin. Thanks for sharing. (I'm going to ignore the comment about mediocre Twins though. )
And I am diggin' on that shirt of Robben's! _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford |

Ditto the vids!
But Marin, in the 3rd video on your webpage you used an interesting technique and I'm hoping you'll share your secret. Your fingers appeared to be moving in slow motion, yet I heard a zillion notes. At my most blazing speed my fingers also appear to move in slow motion, and the notes sound just as slow. How do you do it? |

Those Twins must have been reissues. I can't imagine that there would have been 2 pristine original black face twins at the local rental shop. |

+ 10.
I think we all know Robben can make a Peavy Bandit sounds so good that 68 % of people on this board would like to have one.
I've seen him play in France circa 94 with 2 Fenders Red knobs, Volume pedal, White Boss Digital Delay, Tube screamer. I think the Boss DD could split the signal in stereo... But the sound was so good that is suspected some hidden device... I Can't help , may be i'm paranoid.
During the sound check i've seen Robben going a lot behind his amps and tweaking something i couldn't spot , since i was spying from the outside .
It was a public garden close to make a concert area. During the afternoon i was behind the fence just behind Robben side. But these cypress trees are not so easy to slip in. _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm?bandID=147748 |

Well, Danny Gatton had his "Magic Dingus Box":

Maybe Robben has a magic box of his own...or some magic dust he hides in his amp.

Wow , Andy , thanks for reminding me Danny Gatton is a great Guitar player. Strangely enough , what pissed me off , the strange attitude of people stating he was not a good player since relying on effects.
Pfffffffffffff it's like in the biblz where there isalways a lot of pharisians.
Anyways that dingus box is a great pieace of gear, as wise as some terry Kath were discovering before he died.
Still moaning Hiram. |
