Daved,
I remember you saying that Robben uses a Vox wah pedal. I use a Crybaby and I have a problem with the pickups on my Clapton Strat overdriving the input of the wah. Has Robben ever had a problem with this? Dunlop said the circuit just doesn't have enough headroom for active pickups. Mine is the Mr. Crybaby Super (wah/volume) and no one that I can find mods these.
Thanks,
Frank

Frank,
I am getting ready to address our current state of affairs with Robben's wahs.

He uses Dunlop/Vox Crybabies (he's tried many other brands, but always comes back to the Crybaby) and we have a stockpile of old models that I've been nursemaiding thru recent shows. I am hoping to work with Dunlop and settle into a consistant pedal.

I can tell you, that Robben does not like any boosting in his wahs (some are selectable, some are inherant) and in the past I have had the designers at Dunlop bypass anything that boosts the signal.

I'll report once the wah-dust settles.

Thanks Daved,
I use the Super with the volume boost turned off. I like it because it is a volume pedal when the wah is off and it saves space on my pedal board to have one pedal with two functions. If you do hear of anyone that can increase the headroom in the wah circuits, I'd love to know about them. I have 4 of these that I would send in.
Thanks again,
Frank

Hi Daved !

I wonder if the Robben's Wha pedal is true bypass or no ?

Thanks

Mikka
