My best guitar playing buddy and I drove over to Seattle from Spokane yesterday for the saturday night shows at Jazz Alley. (Saw you there hustling around, but you looked very busy, otherwise we would have pestered you!)

The show was great, as usual, but my friend and I both noticed Robben's rhythm playing was at an all time high for precision, along with his singing. I also noticed that he repeated a few more songs in the second set than I've noticed in past performances (on the same night). And, Robben almost tripped over me as I was leaving in his seeming hurry to talk to the guy running sound after the second set.

4 consecutive nights with the same sound set up, same trio, repeated takes on more than a few tunes, ultra precise playing and singing, urgent consultations with the sound man.... hmmmm... made me suspicious that he might be considering some of the stuff from Jazz Alley as worthy of a live CD.

Should I start a rumor?
