Anyone happen to know what's up with Hilary's website? It's down for ages now, saying it will be reconstructed. As far as I know her fist solo album was only available at her former site. I would like to buy this CD, but cannot find it anywhere! _________________ "Don't play what's there, play what's not there" Miles Davis |

Meet her? In my dreams I'd like to play with her. One of my favorite drummers. She can swing like anything. I first heard her on Garth's first album where they do Little Red Rooster at 200 mph. I thought "who is this person". Then I saw her with Robben and they were doing Help The Poor and taking it down real quiet. She was driving so hard, and just barely touching the drums. It was amazing. Most drummers drag a little when they go down a notch. She was playing at a whisper with great big broomsticks and it was going like a freight train.
The album is really cool. I especially like Cosmo Sex Quiz where she does this really great out of time solo over the vamp. Robben almost has an Inside Story tone going on.
You can try e-mailing her at sales@hilaryjones.com. I sent a follow up note to my order and she mailed back personally. Guess she was busy on the road and had to get home to fill orders. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

I'll mention everyone's interest in her CD to her.
I know she told me the other night that she wants to clean out the cobwebs and get her site back up & running "to code".
I'll let her know that folks are interested now that she's back on the scene.
And, BTW, if you don't have a copy of Hilary's Soaring, you really should. It is predominately Robben, Hilary, and Jimmy Earl jamming thru some mostly original instrumentals. Pretty fun stuff and a must have for any REAL Robben officienado! (Okay, commercials over now. LOL ) _________________ B C-ing U!

Daved,
For the gearheads, do you know what Robben used? Almost sounds like the old Yamaha or Boogie days. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.
