Hi! i've been looking for Moonchild Blues lyrics but i didn't find it anywhere, i tried to write it but my english is a little bit poor, could somebody complete and correct this lyric?
thanks!
I had love all around me
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I was lost and someone found me
now i am all gone
if i could make you want me again
i would rather change
you give me all that i needed
still i want it xxxx
so many wrongs i repeated
now you close the door
if i could make you want me again
i would rather change
all of my pride is gone
standing alone in the darkness
with nothing
but bit of memories
with the moon up above me
that i can not touch
just like the wonder used to love me
now i needed so much
if i could make you want me again
i would rather change
i would rather change |

I had love all around me
Now i'm all alone
I was lost and someone found me
Now i'm all alone
That I could make you want me again
I would really change
You gave me all that I needed
Still I wanted more
So many wrongs I repeated
Now you closed the door
That I could make you want me again
I would really change
All of my pride is gone
Standing alone in the darkness
With nothing, but bitter memories
With a full moon up above me
That I cannot touch
Just like the one who used to love me
Now I need her so much
That I could make you want me again
I would really change, really change
I have a clinic tape where it's just him and guitar so you can hear the lyrics really clearly. |

Yes, but it isn't it "If I could make you want me"? "That..." doesn't make sense to me.

I concur with Frank on that. I have several live boots of this and he always sings 'If' not 'that'.
Strange that in these live boots (and on the Paris DVD) he sings 'love' not 'want' though. |

Isn't there a line about "quiche and coffee"?
Maybe it's just the 'shrooms... |

Sorry Red Suede. I listened to both of yours through headphones and then watched the Paris New Morning DVD and it is definitely "If". On the DVD you can watch Robben pronounce it. If you listen to the third verse and listen to how clearly he pronounces "That I cannot touch", it is even more obvious the the word in question at the end of the the verse is "If". Boy! It's a shame Robben chooses to remain anonymous on this forum. That would settle it quickly. Anyway, whatever he says - I wish I had written it!!

Totally disagree with you on this one, Frank. But that's cool. You sing it your way and I'll sing it mine. He's slurring it a little on the original recording and on the clinic mp3 but it's clearly "that" to me. |
