I am Japanese and my hearing ability is too bad....
I would like anyone to tell me the lyric of Lateral Climb.
By the way, what does Lateral Climb mean?
I can't find the definition of it.
Thanks in advance!!!

Got these from a lyric website, they seem pretty correct (but I changed tea to keys)
The sun heats up another working day
Coffee, keys, and I'm on my way
Try to beat the traffic
And maybe yesterdays time
Try to make a little progress
In what's lookin' like a lateral climb
Put behind me, my spendthrift ways
And I've made more money than I did in those days
Used to carry a debt of twenty grand
(paying prime?)
And I've still got nothin'
It's lookin like a lateral climb
Our leader's addicted
To oil and war
Says it's freedom that we're fightin' for
Applause, applause
For bald face white collar crime
And they leave you stranded
Believin' in a lateral climb
The sun heats up another working day
Coffee, keys, and I'm on my way
What once was a dollar
Is lookin' more like a dime
Heads up people
It's nothin' but a lateral climb
A lateral climb
Don't quote me but I've always assumed the 'lateral climb' means a pointless action. Laterally meaning sideways, if you climb sideways instead of up you're not going anywhere so it's pretty pointless. I could be wrong though, hope this helps

Forum concensus also deems it correct to change keys to quiche, even for real men.
Hope this helps. |

I'm not sure Robben seems like the kind of bloke who would eat quiche for breakfast?
But he could be referring to a packed lunch he's just made up on his way to work? The coffee reference could be what's in his thermos flask?
I can see him now trudging off to a hard day at the studio with his quiche wrapped up in clingfilm and his hot beverage in little rucksack, taking a break from recording killer licks to feast on a nice bit of cheese and bacon quiche.
Just off now to pop a quiche in the oven
