Does anybody know the fact that Robben played Freedom in trio style this August in Japan?
I was really surprised when he started to play the intro!!

The song is one of my favorite tune of Robben.
I have been playing the song with my trio band.without keyboard.
Somebody says and critisizes that you need keys to play the song, no matter what!!

But, I have believed that the song is great even if it is played without any keys.

BUT!!!!!
Robben proves it!!!
The song was still beautiful without keys.

Is this song played in any other countries??

Yes, Freedom is a wonderful track (and apparently Robben's favourite too).

I went to the Mean Fiddler last year (or the year before, my memory gets hazy!) and he did indeed play 'Freedom' with his trio.

Actually I think there's a vid of that same performance on youtube. I downloaded it so I have it somewhere here along with an mp3 version.

(just found it, quality's not great but the performance is stunning).
