Cool Thought that this would be fun. Go looking for the oldest and longest non-posted thread on this board, and bring it back! So here's Kirk, with a link to some photos that are actually still there, including some nice ones from Robben's December 2002 clinic. Ojai in the winter. Just about two doors down from heaven.

Thanks, Kirk!

Taken from a post by kirk in 2002:

"Tip get Band-in-a-Box.

http://www.pgmusic.com/bandbox.htm

This is a great program for composing and practicing. You type in the chord changes and pick the style and it automatically generates the midi rhythm parts (Drums, Bass, Keys, Guitar). You can loop progressions and practice playing over them. So you can practice going I to IV over and over..transpose to all keys...etc..... "

Ok, so, I bought band in a box some time ago and have abandoned it because I am very chord progression challenged. Perhaps we can start a new topic for listing typical progressions and even ones for some of Robben's tunes?

Actually, here's one that I found, also from kirk, that I'm going to plug into BIAB:

Rugged Road Solo Chords: Key of B

Chords are 4 bars each:

D7
B7
D7
B7
E7
D7

Verse chords:

[B lick for 8 bars |B7 D#7|]
G#-7, E7, B7, B7
E7, E7, B7, |B7 D#7|
G#-7, E7, B7, B7
E7, F#7, [B lick for 4 bars]

That's what I am hearing!
