I am having a Red Knob for more than 15 years now and two years ago was the first time I'd change the tubes. He sounds great and didn't let me down yet and he probably will not let me down. For 15 years I play gigs with THE TWIN and he stays my best friend on stage. Can any one tell me wich maybe is better ???

I saw him recently and he was using a Twin Reverb and a Super Reverb together. It sounded amazing. Both were newer amps I think rented in NYC

Just my two cents, if anyone's even still here from this original thread!
I've had a Red Knob Twin for awhile; also have a 76 Deluxe Reverb and 76 Twin Reverb, and several other different amps as well.
I have to say the Red Knob is a fantastic amp. It does a lot of different things very well, and while I love my vintage amps the most, this ones right there.
It's very good at the traditional 'Fender cleans', so to speak, but that's just one of the many things it does; very versatile amp. Very solid build quality never had any problems with it.
It is also one of the best amps I've ever played in terms of adjustability.
The two channels can be blended, with whatever ratio of drive to clean your heart desires- similar to Sparkle Drive. I find it really excels at the more distortion heavy modern tones more than the vintage amps.
Time-based effects work great through the effects loop which is another huge plus.
When it comes to headroom, it cranks as loud as you want, and holds up the whole way. And if higher gain is a part of your sound
Drive channel is underrated/misunderstood; responds to all manner of tweaking, and when you hit it with the right voiced pedals, it really growls, and with the right pedal in a very natural way. I've found the Boss OD-3 to be one of the best, as well as the Xotic SP compressor, with the blend turned all the way off, and the volume cranked to taste, (anywhere from 9:00 to 2:00 seems to be the most useful range.)
These are available all day long on eBay, Reverb.com etc. for much less than I paid (unfortunately Crying or Very sad ), but with the growing myth-busting taking place online, and high-profile players like Robben extolling their virtues, I'm guessing the party won't last long; grab a clean one if you can.

Compulsor, you've done a great job of describing the amp so I won't try to add to that. I have one too and I love it!
