Anyone know what the band's lineup will be for the shows at Yoshi's ?
I would really like to see Hilary with them, since I never have heard her before, and have heard her name mentioned a lot. When I saw Robben last March it was Tom and Dwayne.. hmm, and I can't remember the keyboard players name.
Anyhow.. I'm working on confirming that I can get the time off work.. then tickets/reservations for a couple shows.. then a 6+ hour drive.. hehe It'll be worth it for sure!

Probably John R. Burr. He was at the Carriage House gig here in S.J. with Tom and Dwayne around that time. Kirk said the line up he saw was Hill, Dwayne and John R. Killer group. Check out John R's B3 work on Chris Cains Unscheduled Flight. Wicked organ trio. There's a group around here called Spang-a-Lang that used to play more often and John R. was usually the keyboardist. Tony Lindsay (sings for Santana) and Tom Politzer (now with TOP) and various hot local drummers and bassits (one of them being Myron Dove who also plays with Robben from time to time). The only group without a guitarist that I would go out of my way to see. They would take a funk dance standard and turn it inside out the way straight ahead jazzers did with Tin Pan Alley songs. You could stand in some little club right next to John R. and listen to him wail all night long. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

At present, it appears we will be starting off '04 with a lineup of Dewayne Pate/bass, Hilary Jones/drums, and Bob Malach/sax.
Hilary has taken some time off from the music biz, to spend some time with family and have a personal life for awhile, but she is back now and it looks like she'll be with us for awhile. She's happy to be getting back into the thick of things, and we're happy to have her back. Be sure to say "High" to our gal if you meet her out front. She's a sweetheart. _________________ B C-ing U!

Last I heard Myron's main gig is still back with Santana, where he and I first met in the mid 90's. _________________ B C-ing U!

Yeah, him and Dennis Chambers. I've yet to hear a show but you can tell from talking with him that he really digs it. Who woudn't?
It will be cool to see Hillary at Yoshi's. You mentioned some other possibilities out here, the Catalyst?, Mystic Theatre? _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.
