Okay, so get your copy of the current, January 2004, issue of Modern Drummer magazine... the one with the picture of Steve Gadd on the front and amongst the cover blurbs states "Adema's Kris Kohls, Unstable And Happy".

Inside (about page 130) is a 7 page feature article and interview with my son Kristian. At one point he mentions me and the days when I'd take him summer touring with the Dan Reed Network.

Kinda brings tears of pride to the weary old man's eyes. You just gotta love a kid like that, don'cha?!?

Wow, Daved! I can imagine you are very proud! It give so much pleasure if you have a kid that plays music! My 12 year old daughter plays the piano from the age of 5 and just started to take elektric guitar lessons! She is now doing pop workshops with other kids where she plays keyboards! Every time she does a audience performance I totaly melt away. I increases one's quallity of life dramaticly!

Congratulations, Daved. I know you must be very proud. Both of my children play, but neither professionally. Still, I am proud of them for their talent and dedication. My daughter once played electric bass and has just asked for an accoustic guitar for Christmas. My son plays electric bass, guitar, trumpet, and baritone horn-so of course he's a chef! I'll have to look for that mag today.

Daved,

you must be really proud of your son. Could you post or perhaps transcribe the extracts of the article about your son? The magazine you mentioned is not that easily available here (we can only find Zie Deutsche Zeitung, Le monde, Corriere della Sera, Der Standard, Guardian.... Very Happy ).

I am new to being a father (9 months) but the boy is really moving fast. He's really keen on the guitar and is now planning his first MTV debut. He has been working on his guitar chops and on his new VIDEO! Check out the extract:

Congrats proud father!

I am gonna have to go out and get that Modern Drummer.

I have to tell you all. Daved was really excited when he got this. He came running out at the Boulder eTown show to show the magazine to my son and I! He was beaming with pride!

Congrats again Daved!
