It was really enjoyable concert at the jazz café 29.03.09.
Larry was on stage together with his son Travis Carlton on bass and Gene Coy on drums.
Great rhythm section, very groovy.
Larry was using Bludodrive amplifier and 1X12 EV loaded cabinet both made by Brandon Montgomery. Great tone and feel. Also awesome sounding acoustic guitar straight to the PA.
I was fortunate to spent some time and check out some gear during sound check with Larry and his road manager Mr. Rick Wheeler who is also absolutely lovely person and top professional as a technician and PA sound engineer.
Thanks for great evening. _________________ www.customcabcom.com

I saw him at the Stables in Milton Keynes on Monday night, again a superb show and well worth the 4 hour round trip drive. The acoustic stuff was a pleasant surprise too. I'll have to enlarge the pics I took on my camera phone to check out the amp, I presume the Bludotone was hired in then (sure it was the LC pedalboard with the rackmount tuner).
Nice of Larry to stick around to sign stuff for the fans afterwards too. |

No, that's Larry's new amp and cabinet specially built by Mr. Montgomery. Well, it’s a Dumble clone with special tweaks. It has very sensitive clean channel, when pushed it overdrives nicely, no need for the drive channel. _________________ www.customcabcom.com

The question is begged to ask: "How can I get that Bludotone Dumble clone tone?"

I have met Rick à the Robben Ford clinic I attended last october, and he was indeed very nice. |
