Why is the same set of pickups louder in one guitar than another? I have a Hamer SATQ (import from China) with the same Duncan Designed pickups that are in my Squier MB Esprit. The Hamer is much hotter. Is it the difference in volume and tone pots? I put real SD pickups in the Esprit and it's still not as hot as the Hamer. I know we've got some pickup gurus here. Speak to me!
