Waiting to see Robben Thursday night at the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival. If anyone goes to the show in Roseburg, please post a review. For more info on the Portland event, check out the full lineup at www.waterfrontbluesfest.com . See "performances" tab for full schedule.
Does anyone know who is playing with Robben on these two gigs? |

JavaD,
Tos Panos on drums and Dan Lutz on bass.
Robben will be using his Dumble rig.
I've picked up their gear and am heading out the door.

Robben put on a great show last night at the Waterfront. Played a number of tunes from the Truth CD; "Earthquake" from the upcoming new live CD was excellent; Indianola, one of my favorites.
Lots of flash photographers in the crowd, and Robben had to continually ask them to stop during the first half of the set.
He left everyone wanting more, and we got it! The next act was Keb Mo (replacing Etta James, who was ill). Keb brought Robben up on stage and they played Riley B King together. Keb was a real treat, and played a nice mellow set to finish off the evening.
Another great act yesterday was Lukas Nelson (Willie Nelson's son). A good start to the blues festival - 3 more days to go! |

Thanks, JD, for the update. Please continue as the festival goes on. Oh, and don't forget the all-important wardrobe reports... _________________ Soul on Eleven |

Highlight of my day was sitting in the onstage viewing area while Sonny Landreth played. Wow.
Sorry for no wardrobe report - people don't dress up much in Portland, not even the artists. |

Great video, thanks! You could see Robben being distracted by photo takers, even turning his back at one point near the end... _________________ Soul on Eleven |
