Last album for Concord Records ? Wonder where he'll go next.
In the context of a declining music industry, it might be difficult for Robben to secure a constructive deal.
Anyway, happy to hear about this new recording |

Thanks RW for the link; sounds like we are in for a treat!
I am also pleased to hear that another electric live performances is going to be captured. My experiences of of hearing Robben live, inparticular the last couple of gigs, has indicated that Robben may be producing some of his best improvised work to date. He really ripped it up!!!!!
+1 on Pierre's comment.
Cheers.

I think you may have misread something, Pierre. The article mentions this is his 'latest', not 'last'.
You scared me.

Yes, I'm excited - we were at the Independent and Robben spoke directly to my son, who was celebrating his 21st birthday (front and center) and I'm hoping (like some of the live acoustic from Yoshi's) that they kept the conversation on the recording. That would be a great for my son to have. His first Robben experience was Jing Chi live ... |

Wonderful news! I love Toss Panos, he has such a unique style. And Neal Evans from Soulive is a wonderful Hammond player. Anyway for those who don't know Soulive explore them, at least the early albums as a trio with Eric Krazno on guitar. Matt Schofield (and also my band:-) cover their Uncle Junior. _________________ www.soultingo.at |

I wondered if RF could release through Larry Carlton's 335 records, if no deal is on the horizon. I'm sure Concord would want to keep as many great artists on their books though!
The guy is just on fire at the moment |
