Well, it appears that the last clinic, in Sacramento, went well enough that D'Addario and Zone Music has approached me about doing a couple more in August.

My schedule with Gregg Allman at that time, however, allows me to be available only for the Tone Summit in Cotati, CA (along Hwy 101... between Petaluma and Sabastapol... a bit north of San Francisco) on August 8th and, after working out the details, it's now a 'go'.

If you get the opportunity to go, this is great. I attended Daved's clinic in Sac Town with my son and could not believe the wealth of information from a real pro. We came away with many tips that we now put in use. Daved was overwhelmingly generous with his time - helping the novice to the pro.

Tone Summit today at Zone Music in Cotati, CA, open free to the public from 10 a.m. to around 4 or 5 p.m., I believe.

I am given to understand that this will not be your usual lecture style clinic, but rather, more of a NAMM show style affair with many vendors, artists, and manufacturers showing their products.

I believe that I will be casually available all day to chat, work with, and demonstrate to attendees all day.

I'm told that amongst many others, Rich Lasner who designed Steve Vai's famous JEM guitar, will also be there demonstrating his new Vox Mirage guitar.

For those who live in central/northern Cal with some time on their hands, come on over and visit.

20K in prizes will be given away.
