The CD comes with download info for three additional songs. I purchased my CD from a bookstore in NYC; I don't know if every CD sold has the download offer, or if it has something to do with the bookstore's promotion. I haven't downloaded them yet, but I think they are three songs from the same show. I don't understand why they were not included on the CD? There was room on the CD for more music, I would think. I don't have an ipod, so I'll wait until I get back to Florida to download them. I also think it's strange that the songs were available on youtube before the official release. Maybe it's some kind of market research project, the study of obsessive fan behaviors
I listened to the CD in the car yesterday and I love it. The sound is amazing. Just like being in the audience. I also love Robben's vocals on this recording. The new songs are great. Love it all! _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

RW, is there any mention of the 3 downloads being available for a certain length of time?
I goofed and pre-ordered my cd from amazon only a couple days before its release, and since I bought other stuff to give me the free super-saver shipping discount, I probably won't get it until mid-week upcoming. Oh well... _________________ Soul on Eleven |

I got mine at a master class and got Robben to sign it! It's a great CD!

I did the same thing... and also pre-ordered Wayne Krantz's new CD, which was released five days after Robben's... can't wait 'til they arrive... |

I wouldn't be surprised if the free download was an exclusive with the book store you bought it from. I've noticed that some retailers have cooked up similar deals over the past year or so with some artists and their labels. For example, Derek Truck's Already Free came with three extra songs on the CD if you bought it at Best Buy. |

I got my CD from Robben and it had the free download coupon, too. Robben's website also mentions it so it is not exclusive to one store.

I got mine from Amazon and also received the download info.
I agree with RWFTB. These could/should have been included in the cd. I'm not an Ipod guy, so I now have a 3 song cd that frankly sounds a bit rough. (MP3 sound quality)
I'm also not a marketing guy, so I'll assume there is some marketing strategy in play here.
That said, the SOT is just fantastic! This is what you'll get at ANY RF show. It just keeps coming!
I was able to catch RF at the Baked Potatoe a day or two before these Independant gigs, and heard he was recording his sets in preparation. I think it turned out well. |

Soul on Ten came out here in Germany today. So certainly I had already preordered it a while back and it arrived today.
Sounds fantastic so far. There's nothing like Robben playing live!! Also the two studio recordings are a great addition (except for the fade-outs while Robben's soloing. Come on, a good song deserves a proper ending. No idea why they are doing that again and again or am I the only one bothered by that??)
Unfortunately mine did not come with the download info! Probably this is not included here in Germany (any other Germans here that could comment?)!?
So maybe you could help me: Was this a voucher with a personalized code or similar or is this download area accessible for everyone? If yes could someone maybe post the link for me?
Thanks!

Just finished listening to it. It's fantastic. My only peeves are:
(1) the studio tracks are labeled as "recorded live in the studio" but there are clearly overdubs - two or three guitar parts at times... what's up with that? I like the songs but why are they on this live CD? Seems a bit weird to me.
(2) I just don't care for the song that Robben's nephew wrote, "Too Much" (one of the three bonus tracks you can download from Concord's site). |

Sweet record. The opener, "Supernatural", is my favorite track. It's the quintessential demonstration of Robben's prowess on guitar, wah and vocals. Fantastic performance. "Earthquake" is the other standout for me, in part because it's fresh Ford, but also because it's a beautifully crafted, powerful, Blues Rocker. "Thoughtless" is my preference when it comes to the live in studio tracks, overdubs and all (I fail to see the problem with that). My favorite Ford instrumental, "Indianola", also sounds great here. I wasn't blown away by any of the three downloads, but "The Way You Treated Me (You're Gonna Be Sorry)" was a nice bonus track. Sweet record. |

At different times, particularily in track 3, I was hearing Jing Chi. Anyone else think that? _________________ Soul on Eleven |

Yup, I'm not sure which track it was, but I was shuffling my amplified Ipod in front of a campfire last night and, when asked, I called Robben Live as Jing Chi. Oops. I dont' think it was "They'll Never Be Another You" but it may have been. |

Just got mine. Loving it so far. Dig the downloads too--Freedom is really nice. I like "Too Much" quite a bit myself.
Another fine release from Robben! |

I got to hear the bonus tracks today, but I haven't listened to them on my stereo yet. My el cheapo computer speakers butchered the organ parts on Freedom. I'm hoping the track will sound better when I save it on disc. I loved the other two bonus tracks, Too Much and The Way You Treated Me. I'm still dazzled by Robben's vocals -- Is some new technology behind the clarity of the vocals on both the record and live (in person) performance, or does the clarity come from his breathing He sounds different to me, and I don't know why. _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

The vocals were actually redone in a studio.
That's per an interview with Robben in a guitar magazine. |
