Supernatural is my favourite also. The songwriting and arrangements make it for me. Robben's sensitivity to 'the song' is impecable. Yes, the solos are less in-your-face than with other albums, but they are no less memorable. Water for the Wicked is a great example, the way the arrangement lifts towards the solo and then changes key, and Robben just takes off. Even though there aren't so many notes, the phrasing is just so right for the song. The first note gets me in the gut every time. Robben sings through his guitar.
I also agree about the quality of rythm work Robben always delivers. He just seems to have an endless supply of chord voicings.
I found Blue Moon a little hard to get into with the return to more traditional blues feel from the R&B grooves of Supernatural (I've come to really like Blue Moon now).

The first time I ever heard Robben(at least that I knew of) was on "Talk to Your Daughter". I knew immediately that this was what I had been waiting to hear. Every CD since then has just reinforced this. I find something to love on every one. Robben's playing just keeps getting better, as does his singing. There's music for the masses, then there's Robben.
'Nuff said?

I've got stuck like a piece of glue on Robben's music on his record TALK TO YOUR DAUGHTER. Since then a began to follow mister Ford and bought me a US STRAT and a damn fine US masterpiece FENDER TWIN-amp.
