Well, the Allman Brothers Band 40th anniversary tour year is now completed and we start looking at Greggory 'solo' projects over the next few months.
Monday I fly to New York state to start up the Gregg Allman & Friends tour season near Buffalo. We'll be doing 2 weeks worth of casino and performance center shows, finishing up with a performance at the Michael J. Fox Foundation benefit at the Waldorf in NYC on the 21st.
The next scheduled touring begins 6 weeks later in Jim Thorpe, PA, in theaters, casinos, and performing art centers around the east coast and will take us close to the end of January. Other GA&F dates and schedules for '10 are pending as the ABB tour plans are looked at.
Also being considered for '10, is GA&F touring in support of the potential new album Gregg hopes to record in November/December. It will be his first 'solo' album since 1997's Searching For Simplicity and he is very eager and excited about getting it done.
Though I can't say much yet, negotiations are going on with a highly respected west coast producer, and Gregg told me over the phone this morning that things are coming together for recording at a prominent studio in L.A.
I'll keep those of you who might be Gregg fans further informed as info is confirmed to me. _________________ B C-ing U!

The recording of Gregg's new album is completed and in post recording production. it was recorded at the Village Recorder in L.A. and was produced by T-Bone Burnette.
Gregory played the rough board mix he has for us on the bus the other day... interesting concept.
Besides a couple original tunes, he is revamping a bunch of old 30's and 40's blues standards.
It should be released early this year I'd imagine.
We started the touring for 2010 with a show in PA last nite. As I understand it there will be about 6 months worth of GA&F touring this year, including some international touring to support the album, while ABB takes a bit of a break (other than the March NYC shows and a couple of festivals here and there). _________________ B C-ing U!
