|
|
I am beginning to try to learn lead guitar and I have had some VHS instructional tapes of Robben Ford for years now. I have everything from the two set Back to the Blues but need the tab for 'Playin the Blues.
Anyone know of a place that I can get just the tab?
Thanks too. _________________ God Bless! |

Maybe someone could just fax me, or scan and email me a file of the tab.
Always, much thanks. _________________ God Bless! |

Ha!
I think you're asking the wrong crowd.
Most here are fans of Mr. Ford, and as such we won't just email someone the Tab to an old video that might have been downloaded illegally. We prefer to support the Artists, and to purchase our own copies of his materials. In this way, said Artist will be more likely to produce more of their wonderful Instruction and/or Music.
No dig against you. Just a general "You need to buy a new copy for your own use" to anyone who thinks they might find Pirates here. And since I have no way of knowing even who you are, I couldn't ever just send you some of Mr. Ford's efforts on faith.
You just gotta work a couple extra hours, and buy a new copy. In fact, you may really prefer it on DVD!
Rock On, Rock Soldier! I hope you understand why no one is rushing to send you the Tabs. Nothing personal, just a fact of today's times and attitudes.
P.S.
While you're at the store getting the DVDs, you might also check out the 2 newer ones: Art Of Blues Rhythm and Art Of Blues Solos. More good stuff from Mr. Ford! |

Ha!
Budha, you're response doesn't surprise me in the least....not in this day and time.
It's the prevalent pessimistic outlook for most people.
First of all, Budha, whether you are a senior member or not, you will never be a bigger fan than I am of Robben Ford.
Never!
In my opening response.....did I know spell out that I had already had the tape itself?
So you would assume that I would come here and make such a request, as I did, and have downloaded the tape somehow illegally?
Some people have your attitude Budha. It is a shame. Always looking for the worst in someone.
You said that you didn't know 'who I was' so you couldn't do such a thing. Why not ask me for proof instead of just coming out with such bitter diatribe.
Budha, have you ever heard of anyone go online before and look for a lost owner's manual (for whatever you purchased)? Sometimes you can find it, and sometimes not.
Should you have to pay for it just because you lost it? Sometimes you do and sometimes not.
No dig against you either Budha, but what I asked for wasn't illegal, immoral, or in any way wrong. Think before you speak. _________________ God Bless! |

Wow, sorry I offended you. I was trying to type/word it in the most un-offensive way possible.
And yeah, I did think before I typed it.
And yes, I understand your frustrations. You lost the Tab book. That does indeed suck. I have also had this problem in the past, and probably will in the future!
And I wasn't trying to "attack" you in any way. Just trying to save you some time.
As far as asking for some kind of proof from you, I am not the one asking for anything here.
Again, sorry you are offended. And sorry you lost your book.
You may see my outlook as pessimistic. Sorry, but that's just how it is.
What I will reiterate this once, is that popping out another $20.00 to $30.00 for such a true Fan shouldn't be a big enough issue to warrant logging back on to vent.
Again, sorry you got offended as it wasn't my intent.
I won't go any further with this matter. No need to beat a dead horse. |

I agree about not beating the horse, so/and the request still goes out for the tab for the instructional VHS that I have.....already.
This request is not for those who might be offended by such a request.
The tab booklet was just a small booklet that fit inside the VHS case.
Hey Budha, you are right too.....a DVD might be so much better. If I had had the money to buy one in the first place.....there would not have been this request at all. _________________ God Bless! |

Big D,
The cost of a DVD is minimal to the cost of your guitar.
I am with Budda, go buy the DVD and support the artist. |

I already have the tape.....don't need the DVD, or the advice. I need the tab.
The request still stands. _________________ God Bless! |

There is a full size book available, that is a lot easier to read than the small booklet that came with the VHS tape. You might try the link at the top of this page and search Amazon for it.

I have the small book from the video and also the full size book. But as Budda stated before: we should support the artists which put a lot of love and effort in their work. Paying for their products is a matter of respect. That has nothing to do with pessimism. If you loose something else, you also have to go and buy it again. _________________ "The most important thing is that you make sure you follow the music, which is a musician’s way of saying follow your heart.
