Chuck is great - I got his BWB series recently and it is very good.

Mat Schofield has lots of influences, I saw the Organ trio first when he was doing stuff like "Uncle Junior" by Soulive and I would say that he was doing a lot of stuff similar to Eric Krasno at that time but has again moved on and I would definitely not call him a Robben clone (he does more slides though - a la Robben). His challenge, like all blues genre players is the material, John Mayer went for the pop audience instead and look where he is today (£££££) but I can't see Matt doing that, which does limit the horizons somewhat. What would be good is for someone like EC to get him onboard as 2nd guitar for a tour...who knows?

When I first heard him I thought they were very similar, the more I listen the more I love Matt. He is amazing. Not a clone at all. Great player, great singer.
