I am from Texas and I have been a fan of the blues since I heard Cream play Crossroads. I am 47 years old and have been seriously studying the guitar for four years now. I have played bluesharp since I was a kid. My favorites were Paul Butterfield and James Cotton. I heard Mr. Cotton live a couple of times and I was hooked. I also grew up listening to Johnny Winter and I also liked Steppenwolf.

But it wasn't untill my guitar teacher introduced me to the work of Robben Ford that I really discovered the direction I wanted to go musically. I must admit that I am frustrated somewhat due to the lack of experience with the guitar, and fledgling musicianship that I fall far short of that mark. However, I am commited for life to this wonderful form of expression.

Obviously you are all here because you (we) enjoy Robben's music. So I can't think of a better place to be but with folks that know what Im talking about.

I am fortunate to be able to attend one of Robben's workshops and I am looking forward to meeting him in person. I have almost every album he has released, every instruction book and video, and I have been searching for a Fender Robben Ford or a Baker model to try out and perhaps add to my collection.

I like every album Robben has released but oddly enough my favorites are departures from the Blues genre. I love "Tigerwalk" and "Jing Chi".

Thanks for this forum and I look forward to contributing to the group.

Roy
