if you were guitar in a 3 man band (guitar, bass, drums) what exacttly might one play for the melodic fill line part in Wild About You?

seen and heard here led by sax with full keyboard harmony part:

Do you mean part that comes at 0:32 (1:03 you can see fingerings) ? I used to play that that song w/my old band. I basically played the part Robben plays ... it is basically triads but the fingerings are a bit unusual on video. It goes something like this:

First two Fs and Gs are fingered w/ index finger bar and middle finger and Dmin is little finger bar chord.

that is exactly what i'm doing, albeit sometimes in 10th position... and sometimes with some ad lib alterations.

ok, how this, what do you do for the intro (Gsus)?

ok, i had that! now what is giving me trouboe is the opening section. it sounds simple but i can't make it sound very good/full.

how do you do it?
