Anybody here tried iTunes Ping yet? Just signed up and I'd like to hook up with a few people to try it out. Can't think of a better group to hookup with than fellow Robben Ford fans. You never know what other artists and kinds of music we might be able to learn about from each other.

Sorry James, never been a fan of iTunes (actually you could say that I pretty much hate this piece of software, even though I have to use it with my Iphone...)

I don't have an iPod or an Apple computer; I read up on Ping and I don't really understand why someone would use it. It samples only bits of music from other peoples collections. So you never hear a full song. There are many options on the internet that allow you to stream full songs, but I didn't see any link or robot that would take the song titles generated by Ping and load them automatically into one of the free streaming music websites (which are supported by advertising).

Yeah, I see where you guys are coming from. I'm not even sure if I like it or if there's any value to it. I'm just looking for some people with common interests to hook up with and see if it's useful at all.
