Hello, quick survey here. Please do not google. defeats the purpose. thanks!
please write the question number and answer (Y) for yes and (N) for no, and (NA) for not applicable and write a brief qualifier for other questions (like 3-9.):
1.) Are you a guitar player?
2.) If you are a guitar player, would you be considered an enthusiast or a professional?
3.) If you are a guitar player, have you learned the chords to a Robben Ford song? If so, which song(s)?
4.) If you are a guitar player, have you ever personally transcribed a Robben Ford guitar solo? If so which song(s)?
5.) Name your current top 3 favorite guitar players:
6.) Who do you consider the most talented and yet most commercially successful guitarist of the present? (including guitarist/vocalist i.e. Clapton)
7.) Who do you think are the three most talented guitarists in electric blues today?
8.) Who do you think are considered the top three "greatest" guitarists by the general public, alive or dead?
9.) Are you familiar with any of these songs? If so, how?
-We R Who We R
-Like A G6
-Only Girl (In the World)
-Raise Your Glass
-Just A Dream
Thanks so much for taking the time. I'm a huge Ford fan and i'm a student studying music business at a University. Cheers.

I have a few minutes to spare so lets get the ball rolling!
1. Yes
2. Enthusiast
3. Yes, a number, but I think "top of the hill" was the most challenging.
4. I had a poor atempt at "misdirected blues" (i think this one of the best recorded blues solos ever)
5. Top 3.... there are so many but Robben Ford (of course), Matt Schofield & Steve Morse are stand out for me.
6. John Mayer (good all rounder, and has made it through into pop!!?)
7. Robben Ford, Matt Schofield & Simon McBride
8. Hendrix, Clapton, Brian May (Slash, Santanna?)
9. No (interested to know why this question is asked) _________________ Music is the universal language; speak it with emotion, listen with a passion.

Jack,
I think this thread should've been posted under General Discussion, but since you're new here, and I don't know how to move it for you, I guess it will stay where it is (unless someone else knows how to move it ?)
Anyways, here's some data for your research:
1. yes
2. enthusiast
3. yes, chords to Lovin' Cup and Riley B King
4. no, nothing in full
5. Robben Ford, Bobby Lee Rodgers, Johnny A., and Eric Johnson
6. BB King
7. Robben Ford, Derek Trucks, Joe Bonamassa
8. BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan
9. I recognized some of the titles (when I read your post yesterday) but I could not figure out where I recognized them from. It was eating away at my mind, so I cheated. I volunteer at my daughter's high school and frequently drive kids home from sports practice. Their music is like second hand smoke.
Let us know the results of your survey! I like pie charts. _________________ Travelling by train of thought
