Just got back from the Boulder eTown show. Like I said before, this was a radio show taping, so Robben only played 6 tunes. Here is a quick recap.
Fashion review for Elizabeth:
Robben was wearing his Blue Moon outfit:very cool Black Boots, Black Slacks, White Shirt Unbuttoned and the Long Black "Blue Moon (cover)" Jacket.....happy Elizabeth?
Gear Review:
Standard Robben Gear: Dumble, TC2290, Black Baker, White Tele
Set List:
Cannonball Shuffle - Baker
The Way That You Treated Me - Baker
Keep on Running - Baker
Garrison Starr - did 3 tunes....
Over My Head - Tele
It Don't Make Sense (You Can't Make Peace) - Tele
Badge - Baker
Encore - Garrison and Robben - Don't Let Me Down (Beatles Cover)
Robben was smoking as usual and Garrison was a really great singer songwriter with an outstanding voice. But it was kind of weird because of all the radio host stuff going on. They doing intros to the show, reading sponsor plugs, doing some interviews, giving awards....They did a short Robben interview. Robben talked a little about Jing Chi and how much fun that CD was to make...and some other stuff..
This show will eventually air on the radio, so we'll have to keep checking out the eTown site for stations and air dates.
It was a fun night! My son David was blown away...this was his first Robben show...but I can't wait for tomorrow night's show! That will be a full Robben show!

Thanks, David. Have a blast tomorrow night. I can't wait to take my kids to see him...my daughter is going to Yoshi's with me in January, and we are trying to talk my son into going with us. (He even bought me a tab book of Robben's for my birthday...it made me cry!)
love,
elizabeth

Sounds like a nice prelude to tommorrow's show. And what a thrill for your son to experience a live Robben performance.
Ain't nothing like the real thing, baby!!!
