I followed the link on the Tour Dates page to the OK City show. Check out the picture of Freddie King. Elizabeth - dig the footwear!

Kirk - check your local Salvation Army surplus store. I am sure they can provide you with some fine footage. You will be stylin' my man!
Elizabeth - sorry, but these shoes are for real men only!
I just love this picture. Freddie was a big man anyway, and when he wore these shoes he just towered above everyone else! Blues power! |

I am sure I have seen similar at eBay. I wonder if I could get some high-waisted tartan flared trousers to go with them _________________ To the world you may just be one person - but to one person you may just be the world. |

I remember seeing Freddie King at the Kirklevington Country Club, near Middlesbrough, UK, sometime around 1968. This was at the time when all the main Brit blues guitarists would have a suitably "pained" expression on their faces (or variations thereof) while soloing. Well, that night, Big Freddie came out with the most amazing licks - and just laughed his head off every time. What a shame he's no longer with us. _________________ "Creativeness often consists of merely turning up what is already there. I was at that show in 73 where the picture was taken from standing next to my photographer brother. Having seen Freddie at a club a few months earlier I knew to show up early that night as he was opening for Steve Miller. The man had the power, he knew it and it showed. I was fifteen then and my only regretts in life are that was the only times to ever see him.
