Anyone know where I can get a copy of Outlaw Blues? It was the Soundpage in Guitar Player many years ago. I really dig that tune, and the only thing I can think to do is score an old GP off of Ebay and record off my USB turntable. I'd much rather pay to download it somewhere. I just wanna listen in the car.
Any assistance would be awfully welcome! |

Hi, I too "Love" this track, & I once asked Robben if he would ever, re do it, & his reply was, "Nah", done with that shit.
Anyhow, the flexi disc is long gone, but, I have a "rough" third generation MP.3 I could send you, if you like?
I had recorded it to cassette before the disc deteriorated, & I recently found the cassette & transferred it to MP.3
send me your E Mail if you want it?
Cheers. |

Thank you for the generous offer. I sent you my email address in a PM.
"Done with that..." Obviously not the blues since that's been the bulk of his stuff after the Yellowjackets (except for Jing Chi...which I miss). Vocal stuff...nope...that can't be it. Just didn't like the tune? Who knows right? He seems like a good guy, and I dig his sound...so it goes. |

I sure did.
Thank you soooo much!
Apparently my PMs are getting "stuck" in the Internet tubes. I am totally digging listening to this tune again! Tone for days in this thing! |

Just a postscript...Why on Earth was this tune was left off of Talk to Your Daughter...easily the smokin'-ist tune of the sesson. Easily! My opinion only, of course, but...it's not even close!
It would be PERFECT for him to be playing now...or re-record.
Please...Mr. Ford...if you're taking requests...this song just inspires me! |

I agree totally, which is why I asked the question of him, all those years ago.
It's a great track, isn't it? An up to date, version would be Inspiring. |
