As seems to be the practice here, I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Tim, and I'm from Westbrook, Maine, USA (near Portland). My interest in guitar is stylistically pretty wide open, although of course the blues is at the foundation. I have most of Robben's instructional videos, which in my opinion are about the best out there in any style.
My main electric guitars are a Hamer Sunburst (made in Korea, I think, but a nice guitar) with a Duncan JB in the bridge and some coil taps added; a Carvin DC127; a Fender Mexican Ash Tele with some mods to the switching; and a couple of G&L Legacies, one of which is stock and the other with Fralin vintage hots and wiring a la Eric Johnson. Recently I picked up a Zendrive SE (more gain than the original -- to work better with the single coils). I also play through a Blackstone MOSFET Overdrive for more of a marshally sound. Amps vary a lot depending on the situation and my mood.
Always fun to find out what other folks are using to find their (Robben-inspired, perhaps) tone.

I forgot to mention that I have an undergraduate degree in music theory (though I work as an attorney now -- don't ask). Love to discuss theory, and I like to think I'm pretty good at explaining difficult concepts, so fire away.

Hi Tim,
Welcome to the group. Sounds like you'll have lot to contribute. We look forward to hearing more from you. I've got one of those import Hamer Sunbursts, too. Mine still has the original DD pickups, but it's a pretty nice axe.
Frank
