I saw that Larry Carlton will be performing “The Royal Scam” with Steely Dan on September 23, 2011 at the Beacon Theatre in New York. What a great show that will be!!
I saw this concert at the Beacon two years ago with Jon Herington on guitar, and he was crazy good. He played the entire album (a backup singers flipped the record that was spinning on a turntable at the front of the stage, before playing Side Two). Herington had to learn every song, on every album, for Steely's Beacon gig, which was many nights long. That is unfathomable!

Hi RWFB and All!
I just saw Steely Dan with the Miles High Big Band...it was an awesome show!
Jon Herington is incredible...it sounded like he was channelling RF at certain points...
Best of all, I recently turned a 16 year-old internet friend on to some old SD...and he LOVES them!!!

*I* can play air guitar on every song, on every Steely Dan album.

What other bands has Jon Herington recorded with? I've seen at the Beacon Theatre with other bands, such as Gov't Mule, but I'm not aware of his other work. I've seen him a few times with Steely Dan, and I love his playing.
JZ, where are they playing in Boston? I'll be going to my college reunion that weekend. Although I'll be tied up with frat parties and such...
