Yes, I wish we could get that lucky here in the American Deep South. :>(

Yup...I moved to the Atlanta area in '90 from NY. You can imagine how jazz-spoiled I was. This place is a jazz desert for the most part. Every once and awhile something cool happens (like the Ringers), but for the most part...you have a better chance of seeing a comet. |

Thanks for the heads up!
Did anyone catch a show at Yoshi's this week?
Anyone planning on catching a show at Catalina's this weekend?
I'm curious who is in the touring band now. |

Yep, I'm going to be at the 10:30 show tomorrow night (Saturday)!

Shoulda, coulda, woulda, but I didn't. Getting old I guess, but I'd want to put down a few and would have to stay over night.
Let us know how it went.
Thanks Jon. |

Got the CD yesterday. Could only listen for 2/3 of it so far, sounds good so far, relaxed, nothing groundbreaking, a good Robben CD. |

Just wanted to add, after giving it a few more spins : itīs actually a greasier, grittier record than the previous one. Quite an enjoyable listen in fact.
And whereas Bringing it Back Home mainly had clean toned soloing, this time the mighty Dumble lead tone is back, and itīs so good... Some excellent solos as well. |

...a worthy album in my collection!!! Great work! Can listen to the whole thing and repeat! Best to hear all the glory on a decent set of headphones! I use Bose...really makes a difference to hear all the dynamics of the tunes! |

What is the deal with the 44.1KHZ / 33 1/3 RPM?
Did they really used a digital source rather than tape to cut the vinyl? If so, what is the point? The vinyl loses all sonic advantage in this case.
Or is this an inside joke / jab at audiophiles and vinyl freaks? |

I would guess that "A Day In Nashville" was recorded digitally in Pro Tools, just like everything else in recent history. Thus, there is no analog/tape to use as a source for pressing vinyl. |

Finally had time to give this a few listens. Is it just me, or is this a really fantastic record? |
