I knew it Aeolian, you DO share my fondness for shoes! Slim's is the best for that, since my hands were right n the stage in front of his feet.

Matching shoes and stomp boxes - is this a fashion statement waiting to happen? Carlos sells shoes and ties, why not Robben and mix and match shoes and accessories. Why not "Queer Eye for the Guitar Guy"?

OK, make me stop - my cold medicine is starting to do strange things...

Jerry Garcia did gorgeous ties, so why not?

Maybe that's why my Fireball is taking so long, they're waiting for the lizzard skin covering. Hmm, Banzai, that would be Komodo Dragon, right? Razz

ooh... if anyone remembers Clapton's 'Versace' period, you'll realise this is a bad path to go down! Matching suit, socks, shoes and Fender Strat. Urk.

Still, I think Robben's got better taste than to go down that sort of path.

Cool

Chris

Maybe we could take a picture of our pedals ans stomp boxes and send them to Lizzy so she can give advice what shoes to wear with them?? Laughing

Hey, I have absolutely NO right to pass judgement and be the "fashion police" (sorry Fil) but I am more than happy to offer my services if you like. Or perhaps you could bring me along, and I could serve TWO purposes: shoe(and sock)/pedal/stomp box coordination AND backup vocals. (Giggle, giggle.) I am particularly available for France, Italy, the UK, and Benelux, but will consider any locale.

love, elizabeth

Blob,

was definately Versace, late 1980's/early 1990's. I have a tour program from the Journeyman tour that reads like a Versace promo. Yuk. He was all color co-ordinated from suit (with t-shirt?), socks, shoes to his Fender Strat, also with custom designed Versace/Fender guitar straps.

Maybe he's developed some taste since then and started wearing Armani?

Maybe we can also get Armani to help out with the stomp box and matching shoes/socks issue?

Chris

I totally agree! Robben uses both Volume and Wah pedals in very unique and interesting ways. Killer stuff!
