It's a really good record! Perfect solo on midnight comes too soon, very nice song Cut You Loose (Robben made an extraordinary cover, try to listen the original one!), and in general the album is very enjoable.
I like the singing too!!
Seen it live in France two months ago, very impressive expecially in the pure blues songs like Poor Kelly

This is a really great album IMO. Cant take it out of the truck player !
Robbens playing and vocals are rock solid.

Seeing him in May....would love to hear the whole disc played !!

The horn adds a great feel. Would be great live I bet.

I agree it's a great sounding record!

I especially like "Just Another Country Road."

The turnaround sounds like V-vi-IV-V-I.

Don't know that I ever heard that before!

The charts for the songs are available on Robben's website. I think the turnaround you're talking about is actually V-IV7-bV7-V7-bVII7-I.

Either way -- I agree I've never heard it before!

I just wrote that turn around down. I'll try it when I get home. That looks really cool on paper. I've got to get it under my hands to see how it sounds.
