|
|
Hi guys,
I'm trying to find out how Robben uses (or perhaps it's now used) his Super Reverb in conjunction with the Dumble. My understanding was that he used them in stereo, but I'm not sure if that's correct. What was the signal path into the SR? Through the Dumble preamp and into the Dumbleator, then left channel of his delay into the SR?
Thanks for any info y'all can share.

I sure hope you get an answer as I would like to run my Vibroverb and DT-50. I have an AB box, but that is not the answer. |

Have you tried the search function here? I've got way too much going on right now to look, but I think I remember some older posts about this.

I did, but didn't find anything on point. There's a bunch of stuff about using the SR in lieu of the Dumble, but not in conjunction with (at least that I can find). |

Yeah, now that you mention it, I believe they were talking about Robben using an SR and a twin together. I've seen articles in GP about miking twin amp setups, but nothing else. I never use two amps, but I do have an ABY box that would do it. It has a switch for left amp, right amp, or both. But if it were me, and we're not talking Dumble plus some other amp, I think I'd just use a Y cable and adjust the amps. In fact, IIRC the only time Robben uses the two amp setup is when he can't use his Dumble for whatever reason - but I could be remembering incorrectly. I think there's a post here somewhere that says that.

as far as I learned he only uses the SR for a little Reverb, to beef the sound up when in combination with the Dumle _________________ www.soultingo.at |
