Hi there,
A friend just told me he had seen a Robben DVD, any info about that ?
I have just found that "RF and the Blue Line - In Concert-Ohne Filter" and it is the only DVD I have seen on the web (instrucyional dvd except).

Hi
I'm pretty sure that on Robben's site it says the DVD is region 1 only. It's not its 'all zones'.

Frunk,
I'm pretty shure this "Ohne Filter" CD is out all over Europe in zone 2. I bought it in Germany a couple of months ago. Now it is in my local CD shop in Holland. If it is not available in France (which I doubt), let me know. I'll work something out for you!

I bought my one in a local store. It's region codefree. So you can play it on any DVD player over the world. |

I just bought this DVD from the Robben Ford Web-site. The price was pretty good. I am in the UK and I received it within ten days. It is region zero, so it can be played on any region DVD player. Am I happy with it? Oh yes! This is an old recording (1993) and is just of the Blue-Line three piece, no keyboards. This means that Robben solos more than I have seen on his last two visits to the UK with a keyboard player. You also get to see Roscoe Beck holding down walking basslines with his left hand and playing two-note backing chords simultaneously!
I have no doubt that Robben has got (even) better since this recording, but his playing and phrasing is pretty phomenal anyway. This is a band of real accomplished musicians enjoying themselves.

and Tom's drum solo is incendiary. A top-notch performance all round.
