Good morning,
I just registered with the Board, but I've been lurking for a while. I am a guitar player, and I have been attempting to play for the last 15 years or so. I live in the 'burbs outside Chicago. We get a lot of great music here, but sometimes things sink a little too deep into "the blooze". Chicago markets a little closely on its reputation as a blues City. I love the Blues, but I'd rather hear guys like Robben play the blues that some guy doing the 12 bar all night. (Da NA na nuh.) You know what I mean.
I became a Robben fan from my guitar teacher - who is still a good friend. He played a little bit of "Help the Poor" for me and I immediately when home and bought the tape. I've been a fan since then.
I've been to three Robben shows now. I'm looking forward to many more. _________________ T. J. Moore
