My album "Dr. Ikas Blues"is out in the record shops in Europe and US, also on amazon.co.uk
and here are some reviews about it:
I gotta tell ya, this album I voted as my favorite Blues album of the year. This one has it all, experimental blues, contemporary blues, silky smooth slide blues, rockin' and raw blues. I can't recommend this highly enough. Especially for those of you out there who like something a little more unusual. I can't wait for more from Dr. Ika and the guys!
Rating: 5 of 5 stars!
Tony Holmes "Blues Matters!" magazine - UK
With this album Dr Ika proved that he is a tremendous blues guitarist with great taste and tone. Jeff Calvin "Blues Revue" magazine - USA
I hope you'll enjoy the album. |

I liked it a lot!!! I listened to all the clips on the site you linked!!!! Also, this section is for posts like yours! Nothing I dig more than checking the other guys out! It is appropriate imo. Anyone who reacts negatively to any forum member anywhere posting their own stuff is an a$$hole. (it has happened)
I heard some Herring tone and stylistic hints during Grapevine.
Keep it up!

Thanks Scott,
As far as my label is lazy and greedy to do a proper promotion I'm trying to help myself.
By the way the tune "grapevine" was inspired by Frank Gambale who is a good friend of mine.
Regards
Doc. |

Ika,
Grapevine is definetely a killer. I liked Redhouse and the called Train as well.
I love that Hendrix meets Mclaughlin feel.

Dear Elizabeth & Marin,
Thanks so much!
I really appreciate your comments.
Marin you are absolutely spot on on Hendrix & McLaughlin influences, because of them I play the guitar to day!
Love
Ika |
