Dal yesterday sent me an e-mail with an outline of upcoming touring.
I'm not going to give you "show confirmations" from my list yet, as Dal is still working the books & maps. As soon as he feels that the dates are pretty much set in stone, he'll post them in the tour info link at RobbenFord.com.
But I will give you a "heads up" on what I generally see scheduled down the road.
Next month there are the Australian shows (2 nites in Byron Bay, Sydney [where a second show has been added], and Melbourne) followed by a show in Singapore (with a clinic the next day).
Then Hilary, Dewayne, and Bob will return home to the States while Robben and I continue on to Japan to meet up with Jimmie & Vinnie to do some shows as Jing Chi. Jimmie has told me that he is also looking at hopefully doing a Jing Chi tour in, at the least, Germany later in the year.
May and June look like we'll be touring mid America to the east coast, working in some of the makeup dates from our illness cancellations.
I see potential dates in Oklahoma, Houston, Long Island, Hagerstown, and Charleston.
Late June appears to be back on the west coast with shows being put together in Bend, Grant's Pass, Fresno, Guernville.
I see the National Guitar Summer Workshop in Austin listed in early July. Then, at this moment, it looks like a Spain, Italy thing happening during the rest of that month.
I know this is all kinda sketchy, but it should at least give you some idea of "the big picture" as far as tour plans goes. _________________ B C-ing U!

I saw Dewayne last night at Moe's with Chris Cain. This guy must be getting in the frequent flier miles _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

Can Robben do a show in Austin while he's here to do the Guitar Workshop thing?
Is it just that he needs a local promoter to promote the show? It looks like I might be forced to have a lot of free time in the near future (job loss). I have enough connections here to take that on. Let me know if it's possible and I'll look into it from my end.
Thanks,
Joe |

It seems great things are going to happen upcoming months. I hope I can schedule my holiday in the South of Europe according the schedule of RF.
Possibility for some meetings in the South of France or the North of Italy? I love that opening song of Kebmo's last CD.

That great news. I've found a promoter advertising a concert in a town called Chiari which is about an hours drive from where I live. Not bad, I am looking forward to it.
Thanks Daved.

Daved:
Any more info on the Houston show? The link from the tour dates page does not respond. Need to start planning the weekend!
There is new venue in Houston - Larry Carlton is playing there tonight actually - could be the place for Robben. Just found out about the Carlton gig, but I have tickets to a Houston Aeros hockey game for my son (belated Christmas present) so I will miss it. There are more important things in life than music, sometimes! |

Sorry, nothing yet. I don't even have all the info I need for Japan yet!! LOL
I dont' know for sure, but maybe the Tour Link is down as Dal updates it. I know he planned on sending out a newsletter this week, so maybe he's getting that all together? I can only suggest checking it again later. _________________ B C-ing U!

Houston City Live is the venue according to Pollstar. The venue web site is a blind link (they just opened the club this week according to the paper), so this may be the problem. May 8 for Robben - also coming up are Spyrogyra and Tower of Power (!!!). See you in Houston. |

The Aeros tied the Ducks 4-4 Friday night and my son had a great time. Do not know how Larry Carlton did. Anybody from Houston out there? |

Hey Joe,
Great idea about Robben maybe doing a show while he's here for the NGW in July.
Made me think of one of my fanasty shows to see. A trio with Robben,Brannon Temple and Roscoe Beck. And since the rhythm section lives here in Austin.... In fact i just saw them a few Saturdays ago playing together in Brannon's group at the Elephant and they were really clicking.
One can only hope,
Johnny |
