The website of Daved has an update since yesterday april 4th. Nice pictures of latest tours in US and Europe. "Robben will be using his full Dumble rig throughout the South Pacific tour along with both his Telecaster and his new Les Paul guitars" Opportunity for a new LP discussion? And what to thing about the special guest? Foreign Cream-member EC?

RF and EC together? That would be very nice. But EC is on tour at the moment. I will see him in Belgium next friday. So I don't think he is the mistery guest. But what'd you know? Hi Lefty , i really dunno , ( I really would definitively love the thing happen in my dreams-- and this week i am listening "these times" from mike stern with Vinnie on Drums and pffffff ,).
But well if you take a closer look to Daved update you'll see a special guest guitar mate for japan Jing Chi ( 4 gigs ?). |

Hey I saw that Bluelob.
These two guys [Landau and Ford] they are my all time favorites. They're the reason why I play guitar. I saw that post on Daveds site and I nearly pissed in my pants!!
I am willing to give up playing guitar just to see these two heros. It's a once in a lifetime chance to see Landau and Robben together. So Bill Morgan you lucky son of .... I envy you.
Not only will it be a unique event for us Fordish fans and the juicemakers fans - VINNIE will be there as well. Now I've seen this guy play before and thought I'm never gonna touch an instrument again - I do still play but he's freakin' amazing
So to all you people in Japan - enjoy you lucky bastards

But I don't think that Landau is the special guest on the album - because Daved is not allowed to go public with the name yet.

Hi Rasmus, have you seen Landau in Denmark ????
I found out last year he was touring austria and swistzerland , too far from my place (mountains to cross in winter) .
in 90 I was lucky to see him twice doing his music , and two or three more times with Luke (Baked Potatoe). Blob
PS : Daved is not allowed to tell who is on the CD, due to infrigements.
That doesn't necessarly means he is not allowed to tell if the guest is guest onstage. (Ok I stop , in my dreams only ok ) |

I saw Landau with the Karizma gang in Hamburg Germany. Vinnie totally freaked me out. I had a chance to see them again two years ago but I where on holiday with my lovely family - so!
But I would love to see Landau again, there's only a few chances in life to see these guys.

Couldn't the Guest be a keyboard player? It sounds logical for that kind of fusion setup. Russel? Herbie? Chick?
or perhaps a sax? Wayne?

Landau is scheduled to appear with Robben at the Blue Note in Tokyo. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to those shows. I will be seeing Jing Chi in Yokohama after the Blue Note shows, but Landau won't be at those shows. Sorry about that.
