We arrived at the venue ahead of schedule due to the warm weather and found our way to the stage. We watched as an energetic force moved around the stage checking this and tweaking that at lightning speed.
I humbly approached the wise master of all things technical and asked permission to take a photo or two. Knowing we were not from this part of town but further south (my accent gave it away) he replied in a kind and friendly voice with an accent different to my own " Sure, but no photo flashes during the show please". We thanked the 'Wise oracle of all things electrical' and began to snap away excitedly. Knowing that the Master Guitarist appearing later has major, major mojo, we understood that the Instrument he uses must have major mojo as well. We spotted the telecaster at the side of the stage, full of major mojo. On the workbench of the 'Grand Duke of intonation' lay the newly initiated Les Paul waiting to be filled with the major mojo. Right before our very eyes the Master Tech waves his hands and fills the awaiting vessel.

1. Daved calibrating strobe tuner while restringing the Les Paul at the same sharing a few jokes
and generously smiling for the camera.

2. Robbens amp setup almost ready.

3. Robbens guitars waiting patiently.

4. Robbens name on pedal board.

5.Robbens rig miked and ready to roll.

Desk setup 2 hours before Melbourne show.

Thanks for the pictures! Of course, the one that some of us are really interested in is a bit blurry. That looks like an Historic Les Paul judging by the color and flame, but there may be something on the truss rod cover which might disprove that.

Daved? Any further info forthcoming? Thanks!

Diode,

thanks for posting these pics. Pity you couldn't get any during the show, but more mojo to you for respecting the wishes of the master guitarist...

Was a great gig and the Les Paul (a 99 I believe) was most definately full of mojo...

Cool

Chris

Excellent pics, thanks! Daved looked to be in exceptionally fine spirits that day. My question is: How did the band sound?

As good as they sounded at the last Yoshi's gig we attended? Very Happy I thought Robben and the band sounded fabulous at Yoshi's but I've got to ask....

I was at the Saturday night 2nd show. I'm sure Robben sounds fantastic at every gig, but some are better then others, it just happens. Since I have no frame of reference and you've seen a ton of shows...

How would you rate that one?

Ian

Well now, that 2nd picture is interesting. 27ms delay with 15% feedback and no modulation apparent.

Is Robben now using the 2290 for a doubling effect?
