Hello from Nashville! I'm originally from California, so I brought some West Coast flavor with me to the music city.

From here I travel bringing jazz/blues in a Christian form to churches around the country, so if you know of a church that likes to host concerts, drop me a line.

A demo of my playing is posted at:

My website:

Glad to meet you guys (ya'll -- Nashvillian).

Wellcome to the Board! Hey my sister is moving down to Nashville!

I spent a little time there back in the 80's before I ended up in LA as a starving musician. Now I'm a starving tech exec. I have to find a real job> Shocked

Dear Fillmore, I have some interest from folks wanting to bring me over to Ireland for a tour. I toured in Europe once before and enjoyed it! In fact, when I was in Belgium I got lost and found myself driving the wrong way on a one way cobblestone street. A policeman walked out into the street, hands on hips and tried to inquire of me "what do you think you're doing?" I didn't understand him too well, but could tell I was in trouble. Once he realized I was just a stupid, English speaking tourist, he lightened up and got me straightened out.

I do hope to get over to Europe for another tour -- maybe a jazz or blues festivals would consider having us over. I would appreciate any suggestions.

We'll also be expanding our radio presence beginning in about a month, so we'll see what transpires from that as well.

Thanks very much for the reply. And as we say, tell a friend.

Most great vocalists start out as waitresses here. I was talking to a major session vocalist the other day and he said work is really down for all the guys. To go a week without a session is unheard of (long major label resume's) and that's what's happening. There wondering how to make a living now -- it's tough.

The same guy was telling me about a Napster type website (can't think of the name) that did 10 Billion free, unauthorized song downloads last year -- ouch! Kudos to the 70 million who paid for downloads at Apple.com. But the bottom line is the music industry is suffering greatly. 1500 lost their jobs at EMI last week.

So good luck to your sister, hope she has a good plan in place. Fortunately, there is a lot to do here and there are always opportunities in the right places.

Jazz/Blues/Rock on!
